Comments for Chargie https://chargie.org/ battery health protection for laptops and phones Sat, 11 Oct 2025 09:39:02 +0000 hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=6.8.3 Comment on When you SHOULD let your phone battery charge to 100% by Jeff https://chargie.org/when-you-should-let-your-phone-battery-charge-to-100/#comment-500388 Sun, 15 Dec 2024 01:50:21 +0000 https://chargie.org/?p=143261#comment-500388 Christian, I’m not sure where I read this, but I think in your case the best way would keep the phone plugged in and to charge up to 60%, allow it to deplete to 50%, and then allow Chargie to charge to 60% again. I wish I remembered where I read this, but i recalled this is the most healthy for a cell that requires constant use and re-charging. I use my phone as my hotspot for HOURS. This is what I do. I’ve tracked approx 3.5% degredation in 16 mon, which I think is respectable.

Comment on Supercooled Wireless Charger with Qi2 by Tom https://chargie.org/product/chargie-supercooled-wireless-charger-us/#comment-497980 Fri, 08 Nov 2024 17:53:55 +0000 https://chargie.org/?post_type=product&p=164900#comment-497980 I just received mine a few days ago.
Positives:
First – So far I’m happy with the unit. It does keep the phone cooler during charging.
Second – The magnet seems strong and the phone hasn’t slid down from the plate.
Third – The color ring can be changed or shut-off. It would be nice if it had the option to dim it.

Small negatives:
First – You can hear the fan, I wish there was a way to slow it down a bit. It’s not loud but can still be heard in the car.
Second – I thought it would lock the orientation of the phone, I guess this isn’t a big deal, but my other wireless charge used the extra bit of vertical metal in the case to rotate the phone to one position.

I would recommend the charger holder.

Comment on Why Slow Charging is Essential for Your Smartphone’s Battery Health by Don Spero https://chargie.org/why-slow-charging-is-essential-for-your-smartphones-battery-health/#comment-491938 Thu, 06 Jun 2024 18:21:03 +0000 https://chargie.org/?p=162676#comment-491938 Thanks for the reply, Ovidiu. I look forward to hearing and buying it.

As another note, my goal was to use Chargie with my Pixel 8a. I works inline with charger -> Chargie USB -> cable -> Pixel 8a.

However, I had purchased the Pixel Stand Gen2 and apparently Chargie does not permit the power requirements for the stand. The setup is 35W charger -> Chargie USB -> cable -> Pixel Stand -> Pixel 8a The Stand LED flashes amber. If this is a known issue I would suggest posting a caution. Any possibility of a work-around?

Is this marked wrong or bait and switch? Was going to order another chargie and a cord but I am not a fan of of this type of marketing.

Da fällt mir ein, dass mein Bruder derzeit auch gerade auf der Suche nach einer Batterietankanlage ist. Ich hoffe, dass er diese bald finden wird.
